Bali Blue Moon Organic
One of our most popular coffees -- Bali Blue Moon offers earthy, rich notes of molasses and plum as well as a full, velvety body. Among the archipelago nation of Indonesia lies it's hidden jewel, the island of Bali. The eruption of the Volcano Gunung Agung in 1963 caused a delay in the progress of coffee cultivation in Bali. In response to this setback the goverment enacted programs in the 1970's and 1980's to rejuvenate coffee growth. Today the growing area for coffee in Bali is 7500 hectares. The Kintimani highlands, where most of the coffee is grown, sits atop a large volcanic plateau and the mostly Bourbon and Typica coffee trees are shaded by Tangerine and Orange trees. The use of pesticides is prohibited on Bali and all fertilizers are 100% organic. Process: Wet-hulled. Altitude: 1200-1700 masl.
